I have been talking a lot about breeding lacewings in the future. So I did a lot of research and asked a lot of questions. I decided to pair up my lutino male Horus and my olive green cinnamon female Ginger to start off. Well I put them in one of my breeding cages a couple weeks ago. They had just finished their molt so I thought it would be a great time to see if they would bond or not. Well they have bonded alright. I have seen Ginger going in and out of her nest a lot lately. In the last couple of days she has been staying in her nest. I took a peek in the nest and we have an egg! I have never had a bird lay or even bond so fast. I'm not sure if they know what they are doing yet. I haven't seen any mating but I'm not watching constantly either so we will see. Wish me luck.
