I start hand feeding the babies when they open their eyes. This is about the same time you start seeing their colors. I wait this long to start feeding the babies because this is also the time they have all of their baby down. This allows me to take them from their parents with out worrying about lowering their body temp to much. They are also big enough to eat from the feeding syringe. After I feed the babies I place them back with their parents. This will go on until they are weaned. After this the babies will be placed into my big cage to be socialized with the other birds.
